Integrity Framework

Every solar credit, scored before it reaches you.

Our framework turns scattered project data into a clear quality view — so sustainability, procurement, and finance can approve the same shortlist with shared evidence.

Why it exists

One score built from 100+ datapoints.

Solar projects can look alike on a marketing slide. They are not alike in the registry. We score carbon integrity, additionality, delivery robustness, co-benefits, and data transparency before recommending any volume.

The output is a scorecard your team can circulate — strengths called out, residual risks not hidden.

4.6/ 5.0
  • Carbon integrity
  • Additionality
  • Delivery robustness
  • Co-benefits
  • Data transparency

The five domains

What we score — and why each domain matters.

Each domain asks a different question. Together they stop a single glossy metric from hiding structural weakness.

Carbon integrity analysis
Domain 01

Carbon integrity

Is the baseline conservative? Are emission factors current and sourced correctly? Does monitoring capture auxiliary consumption, downtime, and data gaps?

Solar lens: Credible MWh metering and correct methodology application are non-negotiable.

Solar additionality review
Domain 02

Additionality

Would the reductions likely happen without carbon finance? We pressure-test investment barriers, policy incentives, and alternative revenue including power sales.

Solar lens: Strong PPAs or subsidies do not automatically fail a project — but weak “carbon made it happen” stories do.

Delivery planning
Domain 03

Delivery robustness

Will the tonnes arrive when promised? We review historical generation, curtailment risk, verification cadence, and counterparty reliability for spot and offtake.

Solar lens: Plant performance and issuance calendars drive whether your reporting deadline is realistic.

Project co-benefits
Domain 04

Co-benefits

Local employment, skills, land stewardship, and air-quality improvements can strengthen social license — when evidenced, not merely asserted in a brochure.

Solar lens: We separate documented co-benefits from unverifiable marketing language.

Data transparency review
Domain 05

Data transparency

Can a third party reconstruct the claim from public and project documents? We favor clear design documents, monitoring reports, registry trails, and traceable serial pathways.

Solar lens: If your auditor cannot follow the file trail, the credit does not belong on your shortlist.

How scoring works

From raw project files to a decision-ready scorecard.

Framework workflow

1. CollectDocs & registry data
2. ScreenHard fail checks
3. ScoreFive domains
4. ChallengeRisks written plainly
5. ShortlistOnly if it clears

Hard gates first

Some issues are deal-breakers: broken title, unresolved double claiming, missing verification, or methodology mismatch. Those projects never become “average scores.”

Then graded quality

Projects that pass gates receive domain scores so your team can compare options — not just accept a single broker opinion.

Risks stay visible

Scorecards highlight residual concerns (grid-factor uncertainty, delivery timing, co-benefit evidence gaps) so approval is informed, not optimistic.

Built for three teams

Language is written for sustainability, procurement, and finance together — less decoding, fewer alignment meetings.

Pre-offer checks

What we review before a credit is offered.

Beyond the five domains, these operational checks keep weak inventory off your desk.

Who uses the scorecard

One artifact, three decision lenses.

Sustainability team

Sustainability

Checks claim safety, vintage fit, and whether the solar story matches your public climate narrative.

Procurement team

Procurement

Compares options with shared criteria instead of competing slide decks from multiple sellers.

Finance team

Finance & risk

Sees delivery robustness, documentation strength, and residual risks before budget approval.

Leadership team

Leadership

Gets a concise quality signal — not a 40-page dump — when sign-off is needed quickly.

Outcomes

What the framework protects you from.

Quality failure is expensive — in budget, reputation, and rework. Scoring exists to catch problems before retirement.

Integrity scoring dashboard
  • Claim risk Weak tonnes that collapse under NGO, media, or customer scrutiny.
  • Compliance friction Credits that create auditor follow-ups because evidence trails are incomplete.
  • Double claiming Same generation supporting conflicting energy-attribute and carbon claims.
  • Delivery surprise Volumes that miss your reporting window because issuance reality was ignored.
  • Internal misalignment Sustainability buying what finance cannot defend — or the reverse.

FAQ

Framework questions we hear most.

Is the score a public rating agency score?

No. It is INFINITNEX’s internal Integrity Framework for solar-backed credits — designed to support your purchase decision with transparent domain logic.

Can a project score well and still be rejected?

Yes. Hard gates (title, double claiming, verification gaps) can exclude a project even if some domains look strong.

Will we see scores for every option on a shortlist?

Yes. Comparable scorecards are the point — so your team can weigh trade-offs instead of trusting a single recommendation.

Does a high score guarantee a perfect claim?

No framework removes all risk. A high score means the project cleared our gates and graded well — you still align claim language to what was actually retired.

Can we get a sample scorecard before buying?

Yes. Contact us with your volume and constraints; we can share a sample format and discuss current solar inventory that passed screening.
